How to Tie a Heaving Line Knot

The heaving line knot is used to create a mass of rope bulk at the bottom of a line. It simply adds weight to the end of a line making it is easier to throw further distances while upon a boat deck. This knot is not used for structural or secure purposes and you can make it as large or small as you wish by using extra slack and adding extra twists - watch the video and you will understand what we mean!
