A Beacon Hill Christmas

The Beacon Hill Christmas Kit is a pattern collection that makes you crave flannel pajamas, a mug of hot cocoa, and a ho-ho-whole lot of Deck the Halls and Jingle Bell Rock. The cozy Christmas set has 2 plaid patterns, a vintage Christmas village (our favorite!), classical sheet music, downhill skiers, and holly berries.  The Beacon Hill Christmas Kit is inspired by a snowy New England holiday and will make you feel like you're sitting by a fireplace in a Beacon Hill brownstone no matter where you are.

Holiday Blues

The Holiday Blues Kit is a fun and festive pattern collection that when completed will find a permanent place in your home after the holiday season. This decoupage pattern collection is inspired by coastal homes and ocean blues and is fun for everyone whether you celebrate Christmas or not. The pattern set includes bohemian and European inspired prints including: batik elephants, block print stripes, tigers, Tuscan toile, blue pagoda, and floral swirls.

When you open a gift that is beautifully packaged it's easy to forget what is inside. We wanted to heighten the experience of opening one the Oyster Shell Decoupage Ornament Kits this year so we turned to our friend, Lexi Mayde Designs, to design new packaging.

Our new exterior packaging displays a beautiful water color pattern highlighting the materials you will find inside of each kit. Inside, you will find a new instruction card, information card, and branded stickers bring the unboxing experience to a joyous level.

A gift that gives back in more ways than one.

This autumn, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Massachusetts Oyster Project. The Mass Oyster Project, or MOP for short, is a local non-profit working to restore and strengthen the coastline by re-introducing oyster populations to beaches and coastal estuaries.

Did you know!? A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day.

The Sailormade and Mass Oyster Project partnership is as symbiotic as oysters and algae. They help us source oyster shells from local Boston restaurants; we collect the shells, sanitize them, then up-cycle the shells to use in our kits and other handmade products. Oyster shells release harmful gases that pollute the environment when they are dumped in landfills. However, when they have undergone a year long sanitation process and are reintroduced to the ocean they create a natural bed for new oysters to grow and create reefs. Reefs create barriers that protect and restore the coastline. MOP has continued to expand their shell recycling program through Cape Cod and this summer, they collected thousands of pounds of oyster shells.

To say 'thanks!' for setting us up with a shell source, we donate $1 from every kit sold to MOPs upweller program. Upwellers provide controlled environments for baby oyster to grow before they can flourish on their own in the ocean.
